Huawei has launched its new SMART Logistics & Warehousing Solution, aiming to accelerate global supply chain digital transformation. The announcement was made at the transportation summit during HUAWEI CONNECT 2025, which ran under the theme “Creating a Digital & Intelligent Foundation for Comprehensive Transportation and Logistics.”
The new solution is designed to tackle modern logistics challenges. It centres on five core capabilities: platform-based services, digitalised operations management, intelligent resource allocation, automated relocation, and fully unattended transportation. This integrated approach promises to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and build a more resilient and intelligent logistics framework for businesses worldwide.
Speaking at the summit, Ma Yue, VP of Huawei and CEO of the company’s Smart Transportation Business Unit, stated that Huawei remains “committed to technological innovation and will deepen joint innovation in communications networks, computing power, AI, and talent cultivation to advance sustainable development of transportation.”
Huawei aims to be the foundation for smart logistics
Qiu Shikui, VP of Huawei’s Smart Logistics and Warehousing BU, explains how – by focusing on automation and intelligent management – the platform aims to simplify complex processes from ports and warehouses to the final delivery.
Huawei’s latest platform forms part of a broader strategy to turn abstract concepts into practical applications.
Rachad Nassar, Huawei’s Global Business & Strategic Partners Director, commented: “With its comprehensive ICT intelligent foundation and innovative technologies, Huawei is turning concepts like Mobility as a Service and Logistics as a Service into reality—unlocking the full potential of digital intelligence.”
The company’s approach is heavily reliant on collaboration, with several key partners sharing how they are already using Huawei’s technology to modernise their operations. This ecosystem of partners helps with the development of integrated solutions that cover everything from physical infrastructure to advanced digital services.
Yang Bin, Chairman of Shandong Port Technology Group, stated they have “successfully developed a digital foundation featuring one network, one cloud, and one security system based on Huawei’s strong technical support.”
Global partnerships driving supply chain digital transformation
The impact of this collaborative approach is being felt across different sectors of the logistics industry. In air cargo, SF Technology is working with Huawei to boost operational efficiency.
Guo Shuangqing, Assistant CMO of SF Technology, said that the two companies “will maximise respective strengths to expand capabilities in coordinating multiple airports, thus leading to a substantial efficiency increase across the entire air logistics sector.”
Major infrastructure projects are also benefiting from this digital push. Kumpol Boonchom, Deputy Chief of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), explained that SRT aims “to create an integrated network to help Thailand become the central hub of Southeast Asia.” He added that “the construction of the Thailand-China Railway is an opportunity for SRT to develop a strategic rail logistics hub in the region.”
The focus extends to entire supply chains. Jiang Xingxiang, Assistant to the General Manager of Yunnan Construction and Investment Holding Group, shared his insights on integrated operations. Xingxiang affirmed that looking ahead, “YCIH Logistics will continue to prioritise digital and intelligent supply chain to support its collaborative development.”
Huawei’s established presence in the sector provides a strong foundation for this new digital transformation solution. The company has already provided services for over 100 ports, more than 200 logistics enterprises, 300 urban rail lines, 180,000 km of railways, and over 210 airlines and air traffic management bureaus globally, demonstrating its industry experience and expansive reach.
