Taiwan’s IC design and semiconductor industries are world-renowned, and its well-established, vertically integrated supply chain has created an environment that facilitates innovative R&D. Therefore, IoT Service Hub brings together the best of Taiwan’s tech talents, enterprises, and industry-leading technologies to help manufacturers and inventors bring their IoT product to market in a faster and more cost-effective way.
IoT Service Hub has been dedicated to cultivating the IoT communities in Taiwan. Since its establishment, makers, startups, product developers, and ICT companies have joined. It’s also helped facilitate an interactive ecosystem for IoT development, in which major domestic IC manufacturers’ resources can be creatively leveraged into products.
IoT Service Hub has plenty of resources to assist in the development of diversity ICT projects.
In the past six years, IoT Service Hub has launched 10 Artificial IoT (AIoT) model evaluation boards (EVB) integrated at their core with Taiwan’s IC technology. IoT Service Hub supports more than 500 IoT projects — with more than 100 having been brought to market.
IoT Service Hub’s three key services are:
- Providing AIoT EVB/demo boards integrated with Taiwan’s IC to assist product development
- Connecting a startup or product to interdisciplinary experts in Taiwan
- Providing numerous AIoT solutions to help the industrial digital transformation
IoT Service Hub supports more than 500 IoT projects — with more than 100 having been brought to market.
IoT Service Hub has released several AIoT EVB with Taiwanese semiconductor companies, such as MTK and RealTek. It makes a Taiwan IC-based development toolkit of various transmission applications, and it offers assistance such as coordinate files for PCB, BOM, Gerber file, and SMT proofing to lower the technological threshold and accelerate production.
IoT product development involves many resources and processes; it needs different expertise at different stages. Traditional ODM — from POC, EVT, DVT, all the way to MP — has its own verification process at different stages.
At IoT Service Hub’ s observation, most of the teams are only good at one or two applications, such as circuit design or mechanical design, and it’s impossible for them to master every aspect of every technique. Therefore, knowing what they are missing and where and how to find the right helpers will be imperative. Meanwhile, IoT Service Hub offers more than 200 qualified and audited design service providers offering their respective services to those in need.
IoT Service Hub provides the development kits and associated reference design, development process SOP and tracking platform, design service provider database, workshop training courses, and small-quality field testing. IoT Service Hub will continue to work closely with domestic IC and software/hardware manufacturers and assist startups entering the market.
