If there is one thing that I’ve come to expect from Google over the last seventeen years it is that none of their best products stay the same for too long. Case in point, so far this month Google has announced the deprecation of Jamboard and has released a new version of Google Earth.
The new version of Google Earth is a significant update to the web browser version. A few things that you’ll notice right away when you open the new version of Google Earth is that it doesn’t include the all of the “voyages” and games that were included in the previous version. Additionally, the overall aesthetic of the new web version of Google Earth is one of minimalism. All of those things probably contribute to it loading much faster than the old version.
