This past week has seen a huge array of spring sales at major retailers: Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart, to name just a few. If you’ve been thinking about picking up a new gaming laptop, however, then Walmart has particularly good options today.
I’ve scanned through the retailer’s listings and I’ve found some real gems. Admittedly, they aren’t the cheapest, but they do offer fantastic overall value if you’re seeking performance.
For example, this Lenovo Legion 5i with an RTX 5060 graphics card and OLED display for $1,385 (was $1,499) is a great mid-range choice right now. A little on the pricey end for a machine with an RTX 5060, but I’d happily pay to get a really great screen on my laptop — and you also get a decent Core i7 chipset backing up your GPU here.
If you just value specs, check out the Asus ROG Strix G16 for $1,399 (was $1,749) at Walmart. You lose the OLED display but gain a powerful RTX 5070 graphics card and Ryzen 9 chipset. The G16 is a really solidly built machine too, with a fantastic premium design and futuristic aesthetic.
Finally, if you want to go all-out, check out this higher-spec Lenovo Legion 5i for $1649 (was $1,849). You’ll not only get an RTX 5070 here, but also an OLED display to pair up nicely with it. Annoyingly, this machine only features 16GB of RAM, which is something that’s increasingly hard to avoid with the ongoing RAM crisis.
