Ant International Gets Brazil Licence for Local, Cross-Border Payments


Brazil’s central bank has granted Ant International a payment institution licence.

Ant International already offers services in the country through Antom, its merchant payment and digitalisation platform.

Antom enables businesses to accept Pix, credit cards and other payment methods.

The company also provides embedded credit and treasury services, as well as financial AI and blockchain solutions.

Ant International processes more than 20 million transactions a day and connects two billion consumer accounts with 150 million merchants worldwide, according to the company.
