Are you developing cutting-edge automation or robotics solutions ready to scale? MTC, part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC), is offering a unique funding and support opportunity for visionary UK-based automation & robotics companies.
Up to £200,000 in support is available for at least two high-impact companies to accelerate product maturation and catalyse growth in low automation sectors. This pilot programme runs from November 2025 to March 2026 and is designed to help you overcome technical, manufacturing, or business challenges on your journey from start-up to scale-up.

Who should apply?
We’re looking for ambitious UK-registered businesses working on automation and robotics hardware, especially those targeting:
- Manufacturing
- Teleoperation
- Agile or sustainable manufacturing
Your technology should be at TRL 5–7 (active prototype stage), with a clear path to commercialisation and evidence of market demand. Previous Innovate UK (or equivalent) funding or private investment is required.
Eligibility criteria
- UK-registered business
- Product at TRL 5–7 (active prototype)
- Clear business plan and financial viability for 12+ months post-programme
- Commitment to programme engagement (Nov 2025–Mar 2026)
- Willingness to share feedback for programme evaluation
- Acceptance of MTC’s standard collaboration terms and subsidy control requirements
How to apply
Submit your Part One application by 5 October 2025 to be considered. The top ten applicants will be shortlisted and invited to complete Part Two, followed by a collaborative scoping meeting with MTC to define your tailored support package. Final selection takes place at the end of October, with at least two companies awarded support and projects kicking off in November 2025.
